Watt's World: Everyday Fight

Everyday Fight

A couple of my friends asked me to describe my epilepsy, a thousand words came to my mind. Frustrating, chaotic, debilitating, stressful. “Toxic relationship,” I finally said after a few moments of thinking. They both looked shocked. Before either of them could say anything I began to explain, “See when you have a disease like epilepsy your brain and body needs to be working together perfectly for you to be healthy. Now when mine are not getting along and working together I begin having seizures. I can have periods where my body and brain get along great and I am healthy, but just like any toxic relationship those periods don’t last very long and things go back to being bad. Sometimes it’s simply unbearable.”
