Everyone is invited to join in the fun of a delectable evening of art, music and chocolate in downtown Bishop on Saturday, October 19th, from 3:00 - 8:00 PM.
Independent Project Press is thrilled to once again present The Downtown Bishop Chocolate Art Walk, now in it’s 7th year. This much loved event offers a rich and diverse cornucopia of Bishop culture: more than twenty locations in Downtown Bishop will once again feature a wide range of creative and artistic presentations… as well as free chocolate!
Come explore our tour of Bishop’s local art scene: Free maps and flyers will guide you to discover and explore exhibits of painting, sculpture, installation, and photography. Enjoy the live music presented at several locations throughout the afternoon and evening. And as always, the energy and merriment of this favorite downtown event will be boosted by the generous supply of free unique chocolate treats at every location. Meet and enjoy the work of artists who will be present at the various locations to share stories and insights about their work. The beauty of the Eastern Sierras attracts many creative individuals to explore and live here - The Downtown Bishop Chocolate Art Walk offers a great opportunity for you to connect and enjoy the vibrant creativity of our local community.

This year we are expanding our marketing outreach due to our having received a Local Impact grant from the California Arts Council. We are so grateful to Lynn Cooper and her staff at the Inyo Council For The Arts for their invaluable assistance in helping us through the grant application process, and for agreeing to be the fiscal sponsor for the grant. The funds we will receive from this grant are allowing us to build a website for the Downtown Bishop Chocolate Art Walk, create more extensive documentation of the Art Walk, expand our marketing, and help with other expenses that will make this year’s Downtown Bishop Chocolate Art Walk even more special.
Our new website is now live at www.chocolateartwalk.com, and we will be adding more detailed information to the website in the weeks leading up to the Art Walk, so please bookmark the site and check back often for the latest news and updates. Artists who may wish to exhibit their work during the Chocolate Art Walk can contact any of the participating locations, or send a message to the organizers through the contact page on the Art Walk website and we will do our best to connect you with a location that may be looking for an artist to exhibit.
Everyone is welcome, so please come out and enjoy the fun this year at the 2019 Downtown Bishop Chocolate Art Walk, on Saturday, October 19th, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Maps will be available at all locations the week before the Chocolate Art Walk. For further information please contact any of the participating businesses.
Please stay tuned for more details. A complete roster of participating artists and musicians will be announced soon!
