Caltrans: Seeking Input on Lee Vining Rehabilitation Project

CALTRANS IS LOOKING FOR INPUT FROM THE PUBLIC FOR THE LEE VINING REHABILITATION PROJECT

Share your thoughts about possible improvements to US Highway 395 through Lee Vining!

Bishop – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 9 is planning a comprehensive pavement rehabilitation project on US 395, through the town of Lee Vining. The project will be constructed from the junction of State Route 120 West (Yosemite turn off) to Cemetery road.  Caltrans would like your input on improvements that could be incorporated into this project. Your involvement and ideas are essential to the success of this project!

Some of the potential improvements that could be included in this project are:

  • Pedestrian Improvements such as “bulb-outs”, enhanced pedestrian signals, or artistic elements.
  • Bicycle Improvements such as a buffered bicycle lane or bicycle racks.
  • Vehicle Improvements such as a highway roundabout, angle parking or driver signage.
