STATE ROUTE 158S (JUNE LAKE)
SCHEDULED WORK WILL AFFECT TRAFFIC MAY 8th-10th
JUNE LAKE – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be performing maintenance work on State Route 158S from Oh Ridge to Boulder Lodge next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
TUESDAY, MAY 8th- There will be a full closure on this stretch of SR 158S between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Motorists are advised to use N. Shore Drive as a detour.
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, MAY 9th and 10th- There will be one-way traffic controls in place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to allow travelers to slowly pass through the area.
Caltrans will use flaggers, alternating east and westbound traffic past the repair site. Expect short traffic delays.
CALTRANS WILL OPEN STATE ROUTE 120 WEST FROM US HIGHWAY 395 TO THE YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK EAST ENTRANCE ON FRIDAY, MAY 4, 2018 AT 8:00 AM
BISHOP— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces the reopening of the winter closure gate on State Route 120 West, tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. Ice, snow, rockfall, roadway repair and debris removal work have been completed on State Route 120W from the winter closure gate to the entrance of Yosemite National Park.
Caltrans District 9 is responsible for roadway conditions on State Route 120 from U.S. Hwy 395 west to the east entrance of Yosemite National Park. Jamie Richards, Yosemite National Park Ranger and Public Affairs Officer stated today, “Snow removal and road repairs are currently ongoing with no intended date of opening”.
Caltrans reminds drivers to carry chains and to be prepared for all driving conditions. Eastern Sierra storms can bring unexpected weather. We recommend carrying blankets, water, food, a shovel, gloves, a flashlight, and sand or kitty litter to provide traction in case your vehicle becomes stuck.
