2017-2018 INYO COUNTY SPEECH CONTEST, sponsored by Bishop Real Estate

The 58th Annual Inyo County Speech Contest will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Jill Kinmont Boothe School at 6pm. The topic for this year’s contest is: One scientist’s work we should all understand.

In conjunction with Bishop Real Estate, Inyo County Superintendent of Schools sponsors this contest for students in grades 6-8. The goal is to cultivate effective public speaking skills, create confidence and an earned sense of achievement and leadership. Each year we offer insightful topics that make for an exciting and thoughtful experience for all involved.
Students from all school districts in Inyo County are eligible to participate in the competition.

Each school holds their own Speech Contest where one or two winning students are selected to compete in the Inyo County Speech Contest.

Trophies and monetary scholarships will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners,
