Thank you to everyone who came out to join us last weekend during the opening reception
for our new exhibit in The Project Room at Independent Project Press:
The New Earth: Collaborations With Nature
We had a great turnout, with music all evening on the East Willow Stage across the street, courtesy of Mountain Rambler Brewery and the bands and musicians who performed.
Our special thanks to the City of Bishop Public Works Department, for granting us a permit to close off the street between The Project Room and the East Willow Stage, which also allowed artist Karen Nielsen Licher to create a unique and temporary earth installation with the help of artists Dallas Frederick, Mary Tannheimer and Alan Sonneman in the middle of Willow Street.
This is our most varied and unique exhibit to date in The Project Room, with beautifully-crafted sculptural objects from wood, stone, metal, ceramics, glass, earth, and found objects, beautiful paintings and drawings, photography and experimental photographic processes, futuristic architecture, music inspired by The Owens Valley, and Karen Nielsen Licher's local clay wall painting.
It's a show not to be missed, and we look forward to seeing you here at some point during the next month!
