NIHD Healthy Lifestyle Talk examines bone health

The importance of bone density and how it can affect your overall health will be the focus of the next Healthy Lifestyle Talk, presented by Northern Inyo Healthcare District. 

Dr. Stacey Brown of NIHD’s Rural Health Clinic will discuss the importance of skeletal health and bone density, the effects of osteoporosis, and the body’s need for calcium. A question and answer session will follow Dr. Brown’s presentation.

Dr. Brown is a local board-certified family physician, specializing in all aspects of primary care. The NIHD Healthy Lifestyle Talks are free and open to the public, and designed to help local residents learn more about individual healthcare and NIHD initiatives and services.
