Caltrans to Begin Installation of Rumble Strips and Signs in Various Locations
Bishop, CA - The California Department of Transportation would like to notify travelers that construction/installation of rumble strips and signs is scheduled to begin on May 8th, 2017 in various locations.
The installation of warning signs and edge line rumble strips will provide improved roadway departure safety and improved roadway information. Construction locations are as follows:
Inyo County State Route 127 Post Mile 16 to Post Mile 16.5
Inyo County State Route 127 Post Mile 34.5 to Post Mile 35
Inyo County State Route 190 Post Mile 14.5 to Post Mile 15
Inyo County State Route 190 Post Mile 70.5 to Post Mile 71.5
Inyo County State Route 190 Post Mile 123.5 to Post Mile 124
Inyo County State Route 168 Post Mile 20.5 to Post Mile 21

Drivers should anticipate daily lane and/or shoulder closures Monday – Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Fridays 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The contractor for this $207,315 project is Jabre Contracting from Manhattan Beach, CA.
This project is scheduled to be completed by June 1, 2017.
