Sierra Club Range of Light Group to Premiere Adventure Ski Film and Discuss Work for Clean Energy and the Environment
Mammoth Lakes, CA – Next week, Wednesday, November 8 at 7:00 PM, the Sierra Club Range of Light Group will host the Eastern Sierra premiere of an epic ski film with a climate eco-parable. The film, “RUIN AND ROSE,” is a bold work from acclaimed writer/director Ben Sturgulewski and award-winning Matchstick Productions. Its wild creative vision brought to life by the audacious athleticism of the world’s top skiers. At the screening, Sierra Club volunteer leader Lesley Bruns of Mammoth will briefly discuss the work the Club is doing – locally and nationally – to promote clean energy and safeguard our climate - and our winters. There will be an opportunity for questions from the press or public.
Presented by Under Armour®, the “RUIN AND ROSE” balances stunning skiing with an epic journey into forgotten lands of myth and magic. The film features veterans and newcomers alike, including Mark Abma, Michelle Parker, Sammy Carlson, Markus Eder, Zack Giffin, Sander Hadley, Russ Henshaw, Eric Hjorleifson, Lukas Joas, Sean Jordan, Bene Mayr, Evan McEachran, Ole Pavel, Tanner Rainville, Austin Ross, Fabio Studer, and Cody Townsend.
