Bishop has it's own club dedicated to hops and barley the Eastern Sierra Homebrew Club.
The Eastern Sierra Homebrew Club is designed for those interested in, and who appreciate, the art of homemade fine ales and lagers, wine, spirits and natural sodas. You don't have to know anything about the procedures, just an enjoyment of fresh beverages.
Goals and Aspirations:
- Have a large, active membership
- Use club membership dues to purchase equipment any member can use
- Use club membership dues for a shared space where members can brew using the clubs equipment
- Sell brewing equipment and supplies to members at a reduced rate with profits going to the club treasury
- Have workshops for people who want to learn how to homebrew
- Encourage brewers to start up a local brewery
- Ultimately increase the demand for local beer!
