ESAS/Laws Museum: Drawing/Sketching Class
These classes are a fundraiser for the Laws Museum and Eastern Sierra Audubon.
Jack Laws is an artist and naturalist who works on preserving the Sierra. You can go to www.JohnMuirLaws.com to get more information about him. He is over here for 2 weeks doing classroom and teacher education in Alpine, Mono and Inyo counties which is being paid for by the Sierra Conservancy, Eastern Sierra Audubon and Sorensen's Resort of Hope Valley (Alpine county) and agreed to do this fundraiser on his free time and for no charge.
Jack was here 2 years ago and did a similar presentation for about 5 schools in Inyo county including Jill Killmont Boothe and Round Valley. This year, after presenting in Alpine county, he will start in upper Mono County and end up in Lone Pine!
This first class is great for all skill levels and ages, including children (he works with children of all ages). The second class is a more in depth look at color, drawing etc. but having seen this class taught before, it would work for the experienced or those just getting into art who want to know more about plein air, color mixing etc.
